It’s not going to be Metal Gear Solid 5 anyway, because it’s too early for that.

Look, there is already MGS remake on 3DS and there is Rising. + Peace walker came not long ago.

Whether it is MGS5 or ZOE3, it’s a double win anyway!

Metal gear and i will be bored to death… Holy shit i dont want to play pimped versions of the same games over and over again. Seriously i think there should be a law for only 3 games for one ip…no matter how good the ip is 3 games should be enough to tell a great story – otherwise its just a soap opera. Milking ips always kills creativity to create new and better games.

4 still feels quite recent, peace walker just came out and then theres rising! From the sounds of things it’ll be a new IP (or even a resurrection of some other konami IP) but i just want zoe3

I’m playing Peace Walker at the moment, all three control schemes are terrible and the camera is awful. I’ll get flamed for saying so but I think Kojima is really overrated.

He’s made one good game- MGS1, which really is one of my favourite games ever, but everything he’s made since has been flawed and hugely disappointing. His games are either saddled with endless cut-scenes and terrible plots/characters or the controls and gameplay are badly implemented, and sometimes it’s both e.g. Peace Walker. It’s like he doesn’t even play the games he makes.

@21 your opinion. He makes great plots to it’s games or you just don’t understand them. Thats it.

I have no problems with Peace Walker at all. Control scheme for the handheld that have no thumbstick is almost perfect. He made what was abosoultey bad in Portable Ops. I can shoot without the problem.
MGS games are awesome where he is involved.

MGS 3 on PS2 is everything but “flawed and hugely disappointing”…

I’d be surprised if it were a PS3 exclusive.

Obviously Kojima is working on something as his involvement in Castlevania and Rising is minimal, Peacewalker is done.

But Kojima has spoken publicly about his interest in devices such as Kinect, so I’d imagine any project he’s working on would incorporate that.

@23 MGS3 had an excellent story, but even with Subsistence the camera was near useless and the auto-aiming just didn’t work on even a vague incline.

MGS2 and MGS3 were like two extremes, one had a terrible story and one had broken controls.

I love MGS and Kojima as much as anyone, but the plots to his games feel like they’ve been lifted from a Spanish soap opera. They’re on an equal level with Modern Warfare 2 for how convoluted they are.

The story maybe convoluted but they are genious. I love the Metal Gear Solid stories BECAUSE of how complicated they are. Makes me feel smarter just for figuring them out by the end..

I’m calling it now: Metal Gear Solid Collection HD remake!!!

Mgs 2 was convoluted to this day ive no idea what that game was about, amazing game though in my opinion of course. Mgs 3 is in my top 5 of last gen, was genius in parts. Im hoping this is finally a new IP from Kojima, im a big Mgs fan but that franchise needs a break or better still rebooted or ended either is good for me.

The big thing at the moment seems to be giving PS2 games a HD makeover so I really wouldn’t be surprised if it was a MGS collection.

Really. MGS4 brought a new meaning to the word “epic.” I really believe the MGS franchise was the best series of this generation; and how MGS4 brings all the memories of the first MGS and all the loose ties together. Seriously. I felt like a deep sadness when the camera fell in Shadow Moses! Who feels that in any other game??? In my opinion…I think it’s stupid also had Rising was set after MGS2 and before MGS4 and not a PS3 exclusive. 360 users will have no effin’ idea what’s going on. It’s just a money gig and 360 users are just eating all that up. People who never played the franchise (primarily 360 users) obviously thinks Rising looks ridiculously amazing whereas those who’ve played all MGS games will be like “Wtf?” But hey, that’s just my diagnosis.

I hope its another metal gear….for real mgs4 was one of my favorite games of all time and I would love a ps3 exclusve big boss story……I never played any ZOE so I don’t really know what thats about

It’s OK, most of us who have been playing MGS games from the beginning barely have an idea what’s going on either.

@37 I haven’t played ZOE either and I hope it’s another Metal Gear one also or at least a complete remake of the other MGS games…preferrably MGS1.

Most 360 users are the ones who had a PS1 and PS2 and matured into buying a 360 as PS is for teenagers.

So, most of them have most likely played MGS 1, 2 and 3, I’d imagine.

@40 – the amount of teens you hear on XBL compared to PSN raving about how many nukes they’ve got would suggest otherwise.

And I am pretty sure they all like Halo, and wanted the cheapest ‘cool’ console.

Most 360 players are way to young to have played the first Metal Gear Solid.
