THQ plans to "shake up Blizzard" with WH40K MMO

WH40KDMO

THQ games VP Danny Bilson told attendees during an analyst meeting at E3 yesterday that Vigil's WH40K MMO, Dark Millennium Online, is meant to "shake up Blizzard".

After showing the industry analysts a video demonstration of the game, Bilson said he wanted to show that Vigil is doing a lot of stuff that WoW currently isn't, in THQ's eyes.

"Some people thought 'wow, did we show too much?' I don't think so," said Bilson at the end of the demo (per CVG). "I kind of wanted to shake up Blizzard a little bit and show that, because there's a lot of stuff they have to do to do some of the things we're doing there.

"They are awesome - don't get me wrong - but we're in the game."

The first screens and video for the game can be checked out through here.

More information on DMO will be revealed at gamescom in August.
