Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater footage appears

New footage of Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater has appeared on the internet and it looks pretty decent.
Obviously, while you cannot see the 3D effects, you can see just how crisp the graphics are on the handheld, so you get a great idea of how it all works.
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D was revealed last night at Nintendo’s press conference. Expect more details to drop via the Konami press conference tonight.
No date yet.
Thanks, GoNintendo

Wait, something dosnt seem quite right. Is this actually MGS3 ported to 3DS or something else?

Interesting effect… game looks decent too. Hardware passes the obligatory ‘YouTube shaky-cam first look’ test.

If the 3DS can muster up graphics as good as the PSP then add depth…color me impressed!!
Just curious…I get terrible headaches from watching 3D over an hour, of course I am wearing glassess, but I am curious if this will have the same Headache effect that most people get from extended viewing of 3D??? A game like MGS, I would play for hours, but if this 3D tech causes the headache like other 3D Tech then I would have to play in short time periods which I would not like. I had Virtual Boy and that thing caused vomit inducing migraines!

Really impressed by what the device can churn out.
Sony had best announce a PSP2 next year as my interest in their handheld has official dropped sub-zero.

Argg! If this is Snake Eater why does snake have an eye-patch at the beginning of the mission?

You know I’m stating to think if doesn’t do well or get most to buy a 3DS will Konami release this on the PSP too.
If thats the case as was with GTA China Wars then I may as well wait. I rather play this on my PSP.
Oh and I think PSP2 will be announced at Tokyo Game Show!

That is what it is… it’s a video, with a camera movement, that is all.

well first of all they can’t reuse the same audio dialogue as the PS2 right.
Silicon knights didn’t with Twin Snakes on Gamecube and thats why that game sucked ass so much. Someone made the same claim yesterday that Grey Fox sounded like shit…and yes he did. The only one who sounded right in that game from the original was David Hayter.
So this version of Snake Eater probably won’t be that good audio dialogue wise.

I can’t stand David Hayter’s voice, he sounds like someone in withdrawal, like there’s something with his CNS.

“The demo, like 90 percent of the 3DS software at the show, is not playable…but it is interactive. Players can move the camera around with the 3DS system’s analog slide pad at specific points in the action.”

He does rule spider but it seems like ever since he became a gaming legend celebrity he’s added a little more….( what is the word I’m looking for) idk he got a little too dramatic with the Snake voice thing. Like it was a inside joke to him at times during Snake Eater, Twin Snakes, and even MGS4.

@4 – I didn’t know PS2 has 3D support. Which the 3DS obviously has —> 3DS is way more powerful than the PS2.

Agreed
There is definitely more choke to his voice in the later games.

@23 For fuck sake, you can enable 3D if you want. You just need rendering and one programmer for that.
You can do it with every PS2 title.

@Erthazus – Let me know when that happens
Even if they added the feature to PS2, they would either have to drop the framerate 50%, or reduce the graphics a lot.

@26 Absolutely not. Yes, 3D won’t work on Ps2. But it works on 3DS because of a small screen. You don’t need to render much.
I still need to see that console and how it works in 3D, by few preview it’s awesome but magic fade away if you are not looking properly in to it.

@28 Of course it surpasses. Not by far… But this is early to judge. First games definetily look better.
