Xbox 360 Kinect retail games are clearly different

Amazon.com has put up the first images of the retail packaging for Xbox 360 Kinect games, and by the looks of things, the company is almost treating them like a separate entity. Although the Xbox 360 brand is still there for all to see, the boxes now have a purple casing, with a large sticker on the front of the case, showing if the title requires Kinect to play.
Other information on the site shows that launch titles will include Kinect Joy Ride, Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventures. There will also be a Kincet Arcade bundle and a Kinect Elite Bundle according to Amazon.
Kinect is due to be launched in the US on November 4, as announced last night.

I actually think this is a really good idea. If you have just bought Kinect, and you want to know which games there are, you can just look for the purple cases (which stand out considerably compared to other casing on the market. This is a perfect move in terms of brand identity.

It’s like a ‘YOU DON’T WANT THIS’ warning sticker for normal gamers.

Or a “we played this last year on Wii” sticker.

Or a “this will be reviewed in 10 years by the angry videogame nerd” sticker.
