Nintendo 3DS revealed for first time – plays 3D movies

iwataand3ds

Satoru Iwata has just shown 3DS for the first time.

A big launch line-up is promised by Nintendo.

It has a slider to maximize or remove 3D all together, and graphical improvements and a motion sensor.

A touchscreen only on the bottom, and a 3.5 inch screen.

Two camera lenses, and you can take 3D pics with the camera.

Iwata said it also displays 3D movies – no plans will be announced for that this year, but this option will be shown at booth.

Movies from Warner and Disney are planned.

The 3DS  can also communicate with other 3DS systems without “knowing”, and supports wireless communication between systems regardless of the game.

You could be away from a Wi-Fi connection and still discover new levels, ghost data, characters, etc and downloaded to the system automatically without having to do anything proactively.

I wish they would give their product designer a bit more freedom. That console looks terrible. :/

Yeah, I’m sure a sub HD 3.5″ screen gives an amazing viewing experience.

I think as the trailer showed these movies are targeting the younger audience.I don’t think you’ll ever get to see a bit more mature movies(i’m not reffering to porn) :P on the 3ds

And I am sure it will continue to use WEP as the primary wireless encryption technology. LOL!
