Sony has revealed that Twisted Metal is coming to PS3 in 2011.

The new game is being developed by the original team and will include an online team deathmatch mode with helicopters, cars, vans and any other vehicle that you can strap a weapon to.

Another mode, Capture the Faction sees you trying to capture the other teams statue and includes an objective mode, faction based gameplay, a freeway system and rooftop combat.

The game is exclusive to PlayStation 3 and wrapped up a pretty impressive showing from Sony.

    Looked awful to be honest.

A lot of fogging for such a graphically stunted game

but to be honest, it looked like Crackdown on Steroids.

Twisted Metal as i reckon was never about visuals.
It was all about the concept of fun and weirdness.(fiery clowns, armored vehicles, heavy metal music and weird stuff along the way)and hell breaks loose

Ninty won by a mile really. heck I might get a Wii now, more so that SMG2 is so awesome. not to mention all the 3ds stuff.

Twisted Metal has always been about crazy, hillarious fun. and what they’ve shown was exactly that, very good.

Yeah it did look a bit ropey, although extrememly fun at the same time.

It must be a fairly early build, because Sony only saw the game for the first time a few weeks ago according to their Twitter.

Can’t see what the fuss is about… but then again, I never could. Maybe it’s just a game that appeals more to American tastes?
