Michael Ancel working on 2D Rayman title

Tuesday, 15th June 2010 02:27 GMT By Johnny Cullen

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot just confirmed that legendary creator of Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil Michael Ancel is returning to the former series with a 2D title called Rayman Origins.

According to Nathan in the livetext, it looked “absolutely gorgeous”. It’s being made by five people using the UbiArts toolkit – from all disciples and talent as well.

Sounds awesome for both XBL and PSN.

No more details were provided other than platforms or date.

Holy fuck, that looked Beyond Good and Great. Seriously, BG&E2 would have been great but a true Rayman game looking this sick? Hell yeah.
