Konami has confirmed via  Twitter that the Metal Gear Solid game for Nintendo 3DS will be playable on the show floor tonight.

Speaking via the social site, the company’s Aki Saito said:

“Just finished the Nintendo conference at the Nokia Theater. At the Nintendo booth we will display MGS on 3DS. You need to check it out. Finally we can say this out loud!! This title was the one Hideo was talking about “special project”. He’s directing this one.”

We will no doubt hear some impressions of the game from the show soon.

No release date was revealed for this game or the 3DS during Nintendo’s conference.

Hmm, screenshots look more like psp grafx, rather than top notch … I’m somewhat dissapointed, had hope for more power. Oh well, there is still a chance, that the PSP2 will get it right, hopefully.

Not to be a stickler here, but it does say “display MGS” – I got the impression from the press conference all the 3DS stuff will be rolling demos, not playable.

The screenshot on the bridge has Snake with a ring like in Peace Walker. So there might be coop. I don’t how that works in the story though coz it looks as if its a third version of Snake Eater.
