Kinect gets its first videos

kinect 3

Here we go, then. The first three videos of Kinect have appeared online, hours after it was revealed as the name of the Xbox 360 motion camera that was once known as Project Natal.

The first one is a USA Today video, which details some of the games mentioned in its earlier report, which outed the name of the tech hours ago, and also features chats with MGS VP Phil Spencer and Kudo Tsunoda.

The second one is a lifestyle clip, which features a family going a variety of games that were shown off at the Natal Experience this morning.

The third one shows a father driving as his wife and daughter looks on (thanks, Evil Avatar).

Expect more details to drop on Kinect, like possible confirmation of a November launch, as well as a price for it later tonight at MS’s main E3 press conference.

Details are here.

Each game is fun for 5 minutes and still i don’t see this thing move without a decent software.

Even with this hype i don’t see this thing to sell.

I mean, why you need this if you can buy the Wii?
For this you need Xbox 360, not to mention about the price for a camera and there are two versions of it. So there is a confusion about two versions.

+ i don’t see this thing to sell because market is now full of these peripherals. Motion Plus, Playstation Move, Natal, wheels, boards… It’s too much.

Price? We don’t know yet, but it is absolutely another story.

The only cool thing about this Natal thing that you can use it (the second video in last seconds) for multimedia hub. But again, it’s a novelty for a few minutes. It’s not responsive enough.

PS: third Video is fake. I saw that long ago.

So does worst e3 this year goes to MS? Not suprised if this were to be true after this botch up of an event. Something is wrong when people are more excited for nintendos conference (proven embarassing too many times) than yours microsoft ;)

i love how in the space of a year from e3 last year natal went from the “next innovation of gaming” to an absolute laughing stock and move has slightly improved (relative to kinect anyway)

I certainly hope that 3rd video was fake cause it was the most dumb and cringe worthy. Hopefully MS can get some of the baby game money from the Wii audience.

“Parent, Family, Mom, Bring People INTO gaming, New Customers, Approachable” Tag Lines all for we want a portion or all of the 22 Million of the Wii Casual gaming market…Clearly they are not going for established Gamers, and trying to capture an already captured market…SIGH, I am starting to get sad
:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Wouldnt it be abit annoying having a white pointer appear on screen everytime you raised your hand whilst watching a movie?

So guess MS expects me to *Move my Wii Speak and Wii sensor Bar and replace it with the Kinect…Gonna take alot more then what they have shown for me to go behind the HD TV and into the Entertainment Cave and into a den of Cable Snakes and Wire Wolves…I need to buy a Wire and Cable Organizer to go behind my entertainment center…wait do I see the bones of Fluff Fluff…Now I know where the kitty went…poor thing got caught and eaten by the Assassin Audio cords.

* or would that be Sony??

Looks awful. Wow, I’m going from really interested to being completely turned off by everything coming out of E3 around Kinect so far.

Last video was kind of interesting, hated the ridiculous smiles on their faces though. What is it with these comercials and people always smiling in such exeggerated ways? Horrible.

its going to be interesting to see the move reaction on here, while i’m not really interested in either kinect or move it will be interesting if they are similar in game product style and to see certain opinions.

Anyone notice the 360 in first vid?
It looked smaller than the normal one.
Its at 3:15 on vid.

It does indeed. Much more what I expected from a 360 slim – i.e. a reduced version of the current design which I think is very good.

ha ha, The Sussex Road Safety Alliance will be thoroughally pissed or maybe delighted that the best road safety ad in years has been turned into an Xbox ad…

It’s a very well known ad, maybe you should remove it… very much a fake

The smiles in the last ad are weird because in the original it is to show that without a seat-belt, the man is about to die.
