E3 2010 – Microsoft press conference liveblog!

Monday, 14 June 2010 13:25 GMT By Johnny Cullen

Oh lordy. Oh lordy, lordy, lordy. It’s so fucking on.

Fresh from its Natal/Kinect event last night, Microsoft is the first out of the big three to have its main E3 press conference.

We’re reporting live from LA. What to expect? Hit the break.

More Kinect stuff is a given, sure, as is demos of Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3 and Fable III. A little more on Rare’s Natal stuff, like Kinect Sports wouldn’t be a miss neither.

But the big megaton looks set to be the reveal of a new form factor for Xbox 360 in a new slimline version for the console. And obviously, there’s one other question: who or if is going to tap Mattrick’s shoulder this year? Only Don himself knows.

Pat and Nathan will be providing the magic below. Don’t move from that chair, don’t finch from it. Don’t. Even. Blink.

For a list of who’s streaming the conference, hit this.

    To resume.

    -2 multiplats.
-Footage from a game announced a few months ago.
-Footage from 2 games announced last year.
-A teaser for a new game.
-6 casuals games and some Kinect info.
    -New 360.

Sorry but thats damn poor. They could have atleast padded it out with a Crackdown 2 trailer.

    #214 5 years ago
  215. Callum

    #215 5 years ago

    #221 5 years ago

  223. reask

Maybe they decided to focus on kinect instead.

    #223 5 years ago
  224. Robo_1

So one core game that we didn’t know about, and all we got from that was a minute or so of cgi.

Given how many games Sony have announced in the past months like Killzone 3, Socom 4, inFamous 2, Motorstorm 3 and LittleBig Planet 2, where was MS’s answer to that. A big FU to the core gamer IMO.

    #224 5 years ago
  225. daytripper

@223 no maybe about it, that was a big letdown to say the least. hopefully sonys and nintendos will be better, it wont take much to be honest.

    #225 5 years ago
  226. Gekidami

Yeah, its honnestly hard to not feel like MS have left the core market after their show.

    #226 5 years ago
  227. Anders

    Yep, that was pretty bad.

Did we know about the new Forza title, though?

… These fucking “You are posting comments too fast”…

    #227 5 years ago
  228. reask

    @ 225.
Fair enough then but as I said the focus seemed to be on the casual market ie konect or whatever its called.
They want that market as much as Sony do imo.

    #228 5 years ago
  229. Filofax

Well I’m fucking speechless and not in a good way.

    #229 5 years ago
  230. Callum

I was hoping to be shown a unique way of combining Kinect with a normal controller game to enhance the overall gaming experience. I was shown idiots prancing around and getting sweaty. Looks like Move has the edge for now.

    #230 5 years ago
  231. Gekidami

Where was Milo then? And what happened to all of that Kinect scanning in objects and seeing yourself wearing clothes like we saw in the demo last year?

    #231 5 years ago
  232. The Hindle

I was expecting Me 3, or 343s new game instead i got some nerd proving that white guys really cant dance.

    #232 5 years ago
  233. Blerk

What, was that it? I don’t feel so bad that I needed to see to the kids now.

    #233 5 years ago
  234. Gekidami

Turns out Pachter was right to; No Kinect price.

    #234 5 years ago
  235. revolting

@231 the tiger seemed very much like Milo in a fursuit to me. Perhaps worried by the comparisons to inappropriate relationships with small boys, they attempted to shift focus by giving him whiskers and a tail, and inadvertantly ended up with a whole different brand of deviancy.

Or maybe Milo was the kid from Heavy Rain’s nickname.
