360 Slimline announced, in stores this week

Any pictures of the new power-supply brick yet?
Or have they finally managed to put it inside the box like the PS3?

It really does look like a Dell/Alienware PC or any of those other awful “gaming” PC cases.

But hey if it’s actually quiet unlike the original (even idle) than thats worth it.

That’s a nice looking machine! Think I’ll see if I can trade in my launch premium for one of these bad boys, move the elite upstairs.

Holy shit quiiick is back , and Gadzooks only a XBOT would say that machine looks good….sorry kid its not that appealing and neither was the original….the PS3 slim sucks too.

MS are doing everyting right with the Kinetic, I’m just not into that stuff.

meh. Halo was okay, and Gears too, but duh that was expected. Crytek developing a 360 exclusive isn’t a good thing really (for anyone except MS that is), I’d rather they just concentrate on Crysis for PC. and that ‘cur cut’ thing didn’t impress me one bit, nothing exciting there.

It does have tones of all that is wrong with a lot of PC gaming rigs recently, but it’s not that bad. It will probably look nice in the flesh. I think the original design was a bit of a design classic though. This is less distinctive.

That does look like a very nice looking machine.

Not sure why they are changing from the original white colour to black though? Probably because it looks better, but it doesn’t feel very unique anymore.

Hmmm…. It looks slicker and cleaner. It’s a cool design for new comers but for a person that has had 3 Xbox 360s (me, 2 failed hard) there is no reason for a trade in. I could get this if it were more reliable than the classic but i have said before,”If my Elite dies on me too, I will not purchase another Microsoft game console again.”

Judging by that pic Blerk it really is a lot smaller.

It would have been better if they didn’t add that slope curve in the middle just make it a….box with a green power button X….the XBOX duh!

Do you have to swear so much? it makes for very ugly reading.

New model does look good but it doesn’t hide the fact that their conference was very poor and they know it which is why they just bribed all the journalists with a new xbox.

The Slim model looks a lot better than the old plus it has Wi-fi build in… but truth be told Microsoft does know how to bribe and wide in the open like that(surprise to the crowd)…the sad thing is that there are still naive people who will not see it that way.

Is the hard drive propietry?

If so its a MASSIVE ripoff, not compatible with existing 360 drives! and not compatible with SATA drives, so probably more expensive per gigabyte than SATA.

form factor is nice though, like Alien Ware.

it doesn’t really look any better in my view, at a glance it only seems more cheap and ugly, same as the slim PS 2/3.
