Pachter: Xbox 360 Slim, PSP2 will be at E3

Michael Pachter has used the latest episode of his Pach Attack show to predict a Xbox 360 Slim and a PSP2 appearance at E3.
The Wedbush Morgan analyst predicts that the Xbox 360 Slim will come with motion camera Natal build in and cost around $299: something he’s already predicted once before.
Pachter wasn’t quite as positive when it came to Wii HD, though, saying he feels that Nintendo will probably release the console as it would be too late now to complete with Sony and Microsoft’s motion efforts.
Finally the analyst said that he believes that Sony will reveal a PSP 2 at E3, adding that the device will include a built-in camera and video camera. Pachter predicts that it will be a “multipurpose device” which will give the iPod a run for its money.
That’s despite VG247 being told that, because of Sony’s plans to reveal the premium PlayStation Network on Tuesday night UK time, a PSP2 reveal would be held off until either gamescom or Tokyo Games Show at least.
You can catch the full show below, thanks to GT. Get the details on the Project Natal Experience, as well as the Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony pressers here.

i really hope for handheld announcements. psp2. hmmm…it wont be an ipod killer without the right system software…what will they use? android? i doubt it. they probably think of their own stuff. and this could be bad, because the psn shows that sony isn´t so good at creating user interfaces. the xmb is cool though….also i digged out some youtube videos for windows phone 7 recently…looks pretty impressive. cool feature will be that you can connect to xbl and will get achievements for playing games on the phone – ms is really good on the software – interface – compatibility – cross platform stuff. they are more than sony the natural competitor to apple as well – i think they really want to beat the crap outta jobbs finally. as far as i´m concerned ms is not planning to build some hardware for phone 7 and that seems wrong. also all the games they showed were all touch based like on the iphone. i really want a device with buttons as well and 2 analog sticks. if sony can delvier something like that with pimped graphics and a good os, then this is definitely the system i want to go for…but maybe ms has something in their sleeves? maybe they come up with a 360 phone 7 edition with butons and analogs? so developers can create touch based games and others (esp. ms first party) can create “full” game titles with classic button control? or a slick and stylish device that you can connect to your phone and works as a gamepad…? that´s what i hope for…in the end gaming is a mass market, right, but still the apple formula thousands, cheap, crappy, casual mini games seems to work perfectly on the phone sector. shame though. about time for a true next handheld/phone gaming gen.. i doubt that theres a huge market for hardcore gamers mobile phones. and all my dreams are getting crushed by harbor master and doodle jump….again….sigh

360 slim i’d say is a given, probably going to be a natal bundle only thing though imo
psp2? I have to agree with the rumours saying TGS not E3. Sony will want to see what ninty does first with their already announced device after all

The idea of natal built in to a 360 seems retarded to me. It’d have to be tiny for most people to get it into an appropriate position.
Bundled I can see “built in” nope.

It can also be like the wii, only the sensor bar or camera is separated from the console, and the rest of the Natal device as we know it would be built-in the Xbox360.

Pachter didn’t say Natal would be ‘built in’ but would rather be ‘in the box’, i.e will come packaged with an xbox 360 slim for $299. Much the same as, for example, FF13 came bundled with an Xbox console, Natal will come bundled with a slim 360.

@7 I think he explained it a few episodes ago, although I don’t remember what he said. Something to do with a movie, or something..

@7 Because you need to watch previous episodes. He will explain why.
