GAME UK starts taking orders for Project Natal

natal2b1

Here we go. GAME UK has started taking orders for Project Natal on its website.

The page for the motion camera only shows a price-point so far of £20, and even then, placing an order only secures a pre-order.

Once GAME starts the process of letting proper pre-orders through, then its open season, but you can sit back knowing that your pre-order has already been secured.

Orders will be converted into proper pre-orders once the price for it is announced. No doubt that will come tonight during Microsoft’s Project Natal Experience, being held in the USC Galen Theater.

Pat and Nathan will be there for us, so we don’t stop to the midnight beat. Get the lowdown on it here.

How much? Not a chance if it’s over £100.

It can either go up or down, that’s the problem with pre-order prices they can change at anytime. I’ve got a strong feeling it will end up £100 or more though.

Let’s hope MS have the software.

That’s got to be some kind of guesstimate, even if Microsoft have the software its still £100 too much.

If that 145 price is true then what it means is MS has a new Xbox 360 which they expect to be the main seller of natal through new customers and not existing ones.

Any existing Xbox 360 customers Microsoft will empty their pockets for as much as they can.

@ 3

And they like ours even more, but hey the same could be said about every company in the world.

To be fair to Microsoft. The first rule of business is to make money and if they think Natal will sell well even at a high price then they are perfectly within their right to do that.

Since it’s a £20 deposit, I wouldn’t be surprised if the price is well over the £100 mark. £145 sounds about right.

Hmmm. The Natal event thing isn’t until 7.00pm PST, but the GAME website has a countdown to reveal the release date that ends in 20 minutes. Are they going to reveal this early, or has GAME simply screwed up their countdown?

It’s on their front page. http://www.game.co.uk/

£20 deposite, hmmm so the price could be £60+£20=£100
