Get sextuple XP in Gears 2 next week

You read the title right - next week Epic Games is handing out six-times the XP in Gears of war 2 multiplayer all next week.

Oh yeah, and the firm has also announced that hip-hop musician Drake is lending his voice to Jace Stratton in Gears 3.

The buffet of XP starts on Monday June 14 and runs until Sunday the 21st - so be sure and limber your fingers up a bit for it (via G4).

As far as Drake goes, here's what executive producer Rod Fergusson had to say on the matter:

“Jace is a central character in the comic books, so he was an obvious choice as a character we wanted to bring into the third game,” he offered. “When we began casting for the role, ‘So Far Gone’ had just released and Drake’s combination of heart and grit was just what we were looking for.

"Rather than search for somebody who sounded like him, it was clear that we should approach him directly… fortunately he turned out to be a huge fan.”
