APB lead designer EJ Moreland has confirmed that APB will not contain paid DLC or any microtransactions when released.

Speaking during a round-table interview with
, Moreland said that no items that cost real money will be for sale.

“We won’t be offering items for sale for real money. We have no DLC,” he said. “Any update we do throughout the cycle is free except when we do a major retail event, which will add almost a completely new game.

“Throughout the year, we’re going to release both content updates, which are new missions, new clothing assets, new weapons, new vehicles. Basically, new things for the players to earn, customize, or experience.

“Then we have much larger updates, which will come less frequently, called activity updates. [These will] introduce new gameplay, new rulesets, or new large additions to the game. Then probably once every year or so, we’ll also do a retail event, which will be an expansion.”

The subscription model allows players to subscribe for unlimited gameplay or via in hourly-increments “in the game’s action districts, and customers that have purchased the game and are subscribed or have hours of playtime banked will get the content”, says Shack.

APB’s out June 29 in the US and July 2 in the UK, and you can the minimum PC specs for it here.

I’m buying it, the potential is MASSIVE. RTW really are listening to the community feedback. It’s not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I think RTW are committed to making it a brilliant game.

Im just going to post “lol” in here. I think the person that the lol is aimed at will know its purpose.

Also if they tried to add in some sort of DLC purchasing nonsense with the fucking retarded RTW Points bullshit the entire thing would implode.

Action District! Social District! Refurbishment! Monies! RTW Points! Selling Fees!
