Rumor: Nintendo to reveal Animal Crossing 3DS at E3 event

Thursday, 10th June 2010 17:36 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Another day, another E3 rumor – this time, it’s Nintendo announcing Animal Crossing for 3DS.

According to sources close to D’toid, Nintendo’s been showing a 3D demo of Animal Crossing to publishers, in an effort to get more to hop on board the 3D handheld train. The firm then plans to announce it as a launch title during its press conference next week.

Not too far-fetched really, if you think about it. The DS title, AC:Wild World, sold 9.53 million copies worldwide and was even included in a bundle with DS. It’s a very popular series, ya know.

Nintendo’s E3 press conference takes place on Tuesday, June 15 at 9.00am PST/12.00pm EST.

Pat will be there liveblogging the event, so be sure and hang out with us.

Maybe Miyamoto will come out and do something crazy.
