Valve E3 surprise is “Portal 2 themed”
Valve’s confirmed that the surprise it has planned for E3 is “Portal 2 themed”.
Confirmation of which came at the end of a note from the developer, which also confirmed it had delayed the game into 2011.
The note said:
“To ask questions about how close we all came to dying, or to ask futile questions about the previously announced E3 ***PORTAL-2-THEMED-FOR-GOD’S SAKE*** surprise…”
So there you have it. Not Left 4 Dead 2: Episode One, not Half Life 2: Episode Three, not Half Life 3 or Source Engine 2, as we were told.
Let the speculation end. Once. And for all.

Ah, fuck! How much longer can they keep Half-Life 3, or HL2: Episode 3, or whatever they’ll call it, under wraps? This is getting ridiculous.

So basically: no Half-Life 3, no Source Engine 2 and Portal 2 is delayed into 2011. I’m already disappointed.

Natal support is a good shout but its been delayed on PC too so not too sure? Maybe its to use a new Source Engine and thats why its been delayed? Doubt they would debut that for anything buy Half Life though.

Remember just the other day when I said how everyone was blowing this ‘surprise’ announcement out of all proportion and that they wouldn’t cancel the Portal 2 reveal altogether and that the surprise would just be something slightly different but still Portal 2 related?

So in Valve time “delayed until 2011″ means something like “maybe 2012, but probably a little later. In that case we’ll try Portal in episodes because that works great”…
