First Joe Danger review gives it a 9.5

Joe Danger’s out on June 8, and it looks as though you may want to pick it up, if IGN’s review is any indication.
The Hello Games PSN title lets you “fulfill your daredevil fantasies,” as well as stunt, create and share” thanks to both a both single and multiplayer mode, community features, and a level editor.
IGN said that it has “a great variety of challenges and freedom to explore” that will have you “addicted”, and that you will “return to each stage many times over to find all the hidden secrets and record your best times”.
Sounds fun, honestly. Let us know if you end up picking it up.
Thanks, mathare92.

There won’t be one at launch, but they do want to put one out at some point.

Awesome indeed. Day one.
Amazing this was created by just 4 blokes…
I must say I was first into XBL but PSN has also got some great exclusives too…Flower, Shatter, Pixel Junk, and now this one.

Ha ha, I thought to myself, another fanboyish review from haytfield of a “debatable quality” game EXCLUSIVE from his glorious PS3? LOL, IAMRITE?IMSORITE.
Another laugh to add side 2 side on his reshistance 2 review.

That review looks as if it was written by a mentally deficient labrador. I don’t disagree with the review, it looks great, but the first line is the reason why I could never take American reviewers seriously. No wonder the UK seems to have a oddly large piece of the review pie.

Perhaps you’d appreciate igndotcom, Hunam. Ironically, the real quotes are the worst…

Already bashing the IGN review before having played the game yourselves?

We weren’t talking about the game or the reviewer being wrong about the game. Just that it’s hard to take the review seriously when it is written so badly and unprofessionally. Reviewers from the US would have a hard time getting work in the UK if that is the quality of writing they think is acceptable.

@ 11: You’re correct to say that IGN isn’t eurogamer, EDGE or Games, but in this case I think that the 9.5 is spot on and well deserved. Review isn’t great, but it’s a PSN game, I can live with the review.

Have to agree with Hunam on this one. While there are definitely a number of competent/exceptional American games writers(even at IGN) the majority (especially at IGN) write reviews and aricles that most of the time are unprofessional and lack almost any journalistic skills.
As an example, compare the shitty one page IGN US review of Blur(http://pc.ign.com/articles/109/1094405p1.html) to that of their IGN UK counterparts(http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/109/1094456p1.html) Yes there’s quite a big difference between the scores but it is the stark contrast in the quality of writing and presentation that strikes me the most.

I feel like buying this game just to help reward the small team of four guys who developed it.
