Rumor: Dead Space Extraction PSN and XBL port confirmed

deadspaceextraction2

Another rumor regarding Dead Space Extraction hitting XBLA and PSN came out today, and has EA actively working on the port.

The news comes out of NeoGAF, courtesy of Examiner, and has EA confirming that a PSN and XBL port of the Wii shooter will be released later in the year.

No time frame was provided, and previous rumors
thanks to a survey from EA have it possibly hitting the services for $14.99 and it is presumed that it will integrate Move and Natal, obviously.

Visceral’s “one game a year” policy combined with it
planning to offer XBLA and PSN games
in between releases seems to give this rumor more wings than before.

Dead Space 2 is slated early 2011.

Thanks, AHA-Lambda.

As on-rail shooters go, this one is pretty decent.

I’d be interested to know how this would would with Natal. Make a gun shape with your hand and make pew-pew noises?

Wait… How can a confirmation be a rumour? :/

It’s a confirmed rumour silly. Before it was a rumoured rumour. :D

I’m with you ;)

So what you’re saying is that although this rumour used to be a rumoured rumour it is now no longer a rumour as it has been confirmed so it is therefore a confirmed rumour which negates it being a rumoured rumour?

Before it was a rumor. Now, it’s a rumor that it’s confirmed.

Still a rumor. Rumors it’s a rumor and a rumor.

Thanks for clearing that up. It’s now clear that we have a rumoured confirmation, and all we need is confirmation for the rumour confirming the original rumour, so that we have a confirmed confirmation. Sorted.

I enjoyed this on the Wii quite a bit, will download it on the Xbox 360, seeing that my Hard Drive is not Full, but full on the PS3 :(

Did Steph ever tell me if she likes Cheesecake??
