EA confident that 360 will expand Insomniac's audience

EA has said that it's confident Xbox 360 sales for Insomniac's first multiformatform title will equal the success the developer has had with PS3 exclusive titles.

Speaking with CVG, EA Partners head David DeMartini said with the partnership between the two, "twice as many gamers" will be catered to.

"I think two of the biggest value-drivers for independent developers are IP ownership and the opportunity to develop on multiplatforms," he said. "Previously Insomniac has only been on the Sony platform, and they'll continue to be on the Sony platform.

"But hopefully in partnership with us, they'll be able to take it out to at least twice as many gamers as their other games have enjoyed - both by working with us and expanding onto [360]."

The deal between EA and Insomniac was announced last week, and we also had a chat with Price and DeMartini on the deal, which you can read about through here.
