Ape Escape PS3 in development since 2006

ape escape

Ape Escape for PlayStation 3 has been in development since 2006, it's been revealed.

According to Siliconera, the title could be connected in some form to Piposaru 2001, a spin-off of the series only released in Japan for PlayStation 2, which saw main character Spike vacuuming pairs of dirty underpants from the loony monkeys to clean them.

Don't ask: we don't get it neither.

Since then, while the original plan was to make a sequel to Piposaru 2001, the team has worked on AE PS3, and have made it compatible with Move.

Ape Escape PS3 is due out sometime between Q2-Q4 this year.
