Jaffe: “I wish we were making a new Twisted Metal”

Eat, Sleep, Play boss David Jaffe “wishes” he were making a Twisted Metal update.

The creator of both the mental racer and God of War made his “wish” in a tweet sent this past weekend.

Previous rumours and hints kind of point to his “wish” having come true.

“By the way, I WISH we were making a new Twisted Metal,” Jaffe said. “Making game you’ve already worked on is tons easier cuz your core blueprint is.”

CVG reckons this means Jaffe is “NOT” making a new Twisted Metal.

Glad that’s sorted.

I think if they did do a new TM game they would need to tweek its gameplay. Otherwise I think it will feel shallow in todays game market. Like comparing Halo 3 vs Reach, the core gameplay is still fun, but needs more to it to keep people playing.
