Second bit of DLC for Alan Wake possibly called "The Writer"

The second bit of DLC for Alan Wake may have been revealed accidentally, if a screen of it's description over on Hell Descent is any indication.

When looking at the Downloadable Content menu in Alan Wake, the site noticed the first DLC, “The Signal” has a countdown showing 67 days left before it hits, and that a second chapter called “The Writer” was listed after it.

It showed a price of 800MSP, and described the DLC as:

"Our second downloadable content pack, 'The Writer,' finds Wake in strange circumstances; now fully aware of the thing that opposes him, he must survive one increasingly nightmarish situation after another.”

Hell Descent concluded that the listing was probably a glitch and "not intended to be shown". Still, it managed to capture a screen of it.

We'll send MS a mail and see if it has anything to offer other than the canned "rumor and speculation" response.

Alan Wake is out now, and The Signal is due to hit XBL July 27.
