Wii Sports Resort gets weird looking rowing machine peripheral

The dream’s finally been realized: we finally have a rowing machine for Wii.
CTA Digital, a peripheral manufacturer, has revealed the new gizmo for use in the rowing mini-game in Wii Sports Resort. You can get it now for $34.99 on Amazon.
The firm previously made several peripheral packs for previous first-party Nintendo games, including the original Wii Sports
Words fail us. Maybe the video demonstration below would do a better job in explaining it more.
Thanks, Joystiq.

If only a real rowing machine were that cheap. Still not getting it. What little self respect I have left is too dear to me.
