SWTOR - Details for the planet Hoth emerge

hoth

Fans of Star Wars looking forward to The Old Republic have something cool to howl in Wookie pleasure over today, as it's been revealed that players will be able to explore the planet Hoth in the game.

Over on VideoGamer, which got its lucky hands on the title at the EA spring showcase in London, there's a nice writeup about the game, along with some exclusive artwork and screens of Hoth.

With the time line of the game set in the Old Republic, Hoth is basically nothing more a frozen wasteland being fought over by the Empire and the Republic, due to some prototype ships that were wrecked on the planet during the Great War.

To add to the drama, pirates have started collecting the odd bits and pieces left over from the battles, and are building their own super space ships from the rubble.

Good stuff, there.

Slated for next spring, SWTOR will have eight classes, two rival factions a number of humanoid playable races, and loads of stuff that BioWare and Lucasarts are keeping locked up in a galaxy far, far, away.

Well, maybe just California. We don't know where the secret vault is, or we would tell you.

Head on through the links there, for more SWTOR goodies.
