Initial sales for Yakuza 3 in west were “positive”, says Sega

Sega’s revealed that the initial sales of Yakuza 3 in the west were “positive”.
While no specific sales numbers were given by the company on its US forums, the firm’s response may raise a little hope that Yakuza 4 may make the jump to the west, as well as the recently announced Yakuza PSP title, which is due in September.
“As was mentioned a couple times above, SEGA doesn’t generally release any specific numbers in terms of game sales,” said Sega community rep, RubyEclipse.
“So, while I’m not able to give you any numbers, I can at least still confirm that the initial sales were really positive, and that all of the fans who jumped in to support the franchise in the west did a great job.”
Good stuff. Message seems to be if you want to see more Yakuza come west, go buy the game.
Yakuza 3 released in March for PlayStation 3 in the US and Europe, a couple of weeks before the release of Yakuza 4 in Japan.

Got it, loving it. Sooo much game for your money and a really compelling story tying it all together. Fingers are certainly crossed for Yakuza 4.
