PSP Yakuza named and dated

yakuzapsp

The next Yakuza series has been officially named and dated by director Toshihiro Nagoshi.

Formally titled ‘Project K’, the PSP game has now been named ‘Kurohyu:Ryu ga Gotoku Shinshou’, which translates roughly to “Black Leopard: A New Yakuza Chapter.”

Get shots and details here.

It’s out in Japan on September 22.

Given the popularity of both PSP and Yakuza in Japan, this is going to be a license to print money for Sega.

I stopped caring about Yakuza myself after the sequels turned out the exact same gameplay experiences, if you played the original you played them all.

I’m utterly hooked on Yakuza 3. Streets of Rage with an engrossing story attached, loving it.
