Rock Band 3 to get formal reveal in next couple of weeks

Rock Band 3's set to get it's pre-E3 formal reveal on Thursday, May 20. But there's a catch, Ringo.

The reveal is only for a select handful of E3 judges.

As far as a public reveal goes, expect something during E3 itself, but the invite for the event promises the game "will once again change the way people look at music video games".

It's the first major Rock Band game to be released since Rock Band 2 in 2008, with the release of Beatles: Rock Band last September. The studio's planning to release another separate band spin-off in the series, Green Day: Rock Band, next month in a worldwide release.

Rock Band 3 is due for release this holiday season.
