I said this before and there are a lot of stuff that cliff Blezinski explained in the mag.

I just can’t manage Insane on Gears. It’s the hardest difficulty I think I’ve ever played, and is even hard work on co-op. Solo Hardcore is about the very limit of my playing ability.

I wouldnt want normal to be any easier than it is but I’m all for making the entry level difficulty as easy as people want.

Good news, completed Gears 2 on insane and Gears 1 got all the way to RAAM on insane then just got bored of instant death kryll. I’ve enjoyed the challenge of the two, though RAAM was taking the piss a bit lol!

I finished Gears Of war 1 on hardcore and insane. Extremely easy. Hide behind a wall is such a cheat. This feature i really hate in modern console games.

Even Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2 are great and blah…blah…blah… I finished them both on platinum and even there the Hardest difficulty was so freakin’ easy.

I really think that to make it more harder you need to enable shooting through a wall, it’s just you can’t sit for forever by one wall when everybody smash it with a grenade, grenade launcher and other sadistic weapons and woop-di-doop, you are like immortal sit there.

these mechanics are really easy, i remember when games were hard. Now, it’s just a piece of cake. In Uncharted 2 or Gears you can even just run and shoot everybody.

(Except Demons Souls dum… dum… du~~~~um.)

You can’t just run and shoot everyone in gears on insane, if you start running then you get slowed down when the enemy start shooting you and you get knocked down pretty damn quick in insane

@7 You can. I did it and it was very easy to do + maybe i played with the mouse accuracy, but with co-op i could forget about hiding. It’s really easy, same goes to Uncharted 1,2.
Uncharted 1 just had stupid checkpoints but thats just it.

Erthazus you have not played Gears on Insane or you wouldn’t make those comments.

You cannot run and gun on Insane mode in Gears. You are slowed and dead in seconds if you leave cover. If you just sit there you will get ink grenades spammed at you and you WILL die.

If you are a casual gamer it’s your problem. I can prove you in a second and make a video about insane difficulty and how i complete it right now. I can finish first Gears by 6-7 hours.

Games are freakin easy that i want to sleep. Gears of Uncharted are just a rolecoaster blockbuster movies but thats it what they can offer.

@13 No, you can’t do it for forever. I know that you slow down if locusts going to shoot you, but sometimes you can do it without any problem.
Same goes to Uncharted 2.
They are both very easy. I have platinum trophies for Uncharted games
Played on PC on Insane with my friend and we finished it and forgot about it. It’s easy.

and i’m not the professional gamer or cybersport guy (I Was back in the day with Unreal Games, but it was in the past and for fun), i’m just a gamer. Two easy 3rd person shooters.

there are a tons of videos on youtube how people do it really fast with Insane difficulty. It’s not that hard and thats a fact. Same goes to Uncharted 2.

My proof are only my trophies. Thats it. Believe me or not. It’s not that hard. If you played it your senses starting to adapt to it’s difficulty thing.
No game is impossible. Gears if perfectly balanced on all difficulties, same goes to Uncharted.

not true, some games are literally impossible due to either bad code or design. they are usually the golden oldies, one i recall is jet set willy for the speccy which was bugged so cudnt be finnished** (if i recall correctly), chucky egg literally cudnt be finnished** (i wonder if anyone here knows why

personally i didnt find gears or uncharted hard on the hardest diff levels, in general i find modern games hardest diff level is the same as older games medium diff level (with afew exceptions of course)

i dont see why companies in general seem to be makeing games easier (the new splinter cell on the realistic difficulty plays like i wud expect it wud on easy), isnt that the point of have differant difficulty levels to choose from? or do they feel its best to make the average joe feel good cos he mannaged to beat FIRST PERSON SHOOTER XV on the “super ninja armageddon” difficulty?

General RAAM on Insane difficulty is almost impossible without co-op. I’ve never met anyone who completed it without having a co-op partner. A little bit ridiculous really, but the people that got the achievement…they earned it.

Because market dictate this. you are a gamer and i’m. But the majority of players are casual whiny children that don’t like to lose.
Look for example at Cliff Blezinski that said that many people drop the game after 60% of the game, thats why they are lowering the difficulty level.
And yes, Splinter Cell:Xonviction is not just easy, it’s just a bad designed stealth game overall. Complete crap.

Bullshit.

Torque Bow + Longshot (active reloads) and maybe some grenades = WIN

But if you are skilled enough, then Longshots with headshots are more lethal then with bow.

We finished it on Insane with my friend without any problem. Very easy boss.

Do it with me in Co-op so I can get the achievement. I’ll sit back and let you do what you do best

@29 i played it on PC, sorry mate i don’t have 360. I would love to help you.
I finished game one time on Harcore myself and it was easy, then with my friend we played on Insane. Nothing special.

If you have problems with RAAM the best strategy is Torque Bow + Longshot (AR) and grenades.

I never said here that i finished ALONE on Insane, but actually thats interesting to try to finish him on last difficulty without a partner, maybe i need to try just for fun.

No disrespect Erthazus but I was actually referring to G1GA in #29 because we have already been playing co-op in GEARS.

the new splinter cell has been toned down as a stealth game and has been turned into a 3rd person action game with cover system (as youll probly have allready noticed)

why dont people just lower the difficulty level, or play on easy level if they find games too hard on the higher difficulty levels? is it the achievments that people so desperatly crave? pride? stupidity? if people did play on the correct difficulty level and complete games wud games companies not be makeing games easier?

Btw, I’ve done both solo and co-op and the difference is huge.

It took me maybe hundreds of attempts over multiple days to do it alone, but I was really shocked when I did it first or second attempt on co-op.

when i 1st saw it i thought why not play it on easy then? maybe he did but just realy poor at games, inwhich case a special god mode for the Dara’s of this world is whats needed , or atleast make the easiest setting even easier & leave the harder levels alone.
