You need to understand that sales don’t make game great and it never did that and not every person who bought Call Of Duty is a gamer. Call Of Duty is just a very popular sub-culture franchise. A perfect example of a great marketing campaign, media, press releases and other stuff and Modern Warfare 2 is not a BAD game. It just fails to impress me because everything is outdated. I saw that at Counter Strike and other FPS long ago. As a hardcore gamer it will never impress someone. It’s old and boring.

What are you on about??? You seriously DO have a basic logic problem! CoD has a world record for being THE most played online game. That in itself contains a statistical FACT. I don’t need the exact figures to know that NOTHING ELSE BEATS IT. Especially not BC2, which has sold a fraction of the amount that CoD has.

CoD is CONSISTENTLY top of the XBL most played charts. You don’t need to know the exact figures to know that this means that MORE 360 owners alone play the game online than play Battlefield! Why is that so difficult for you to understand?? Those are simple facts that anyone with a BRAIN should be able to understand, so what is wrong with you?? It beats it by a long way, in fact. There’s no conspiracy here either. It’s not some ludicrous case of your average non-gamer seeing a CoD advert on TV, then going out, buying it and only playing it once.

In the real world, BF’s marketing/media campaign was probably much bigger that CoD4′s, but probably won’t end up seeing even half of CoD4′s eventual sales total.

In the real world half of BC2′s sales are probably because EA tried to fool people into believing that it was MW2! Similar advert, similar style, similar artwork, etc. They even refer to MW2 IN THE GAME SCRIPT! They just kept on copying.

I don’t need to explain anything to you, as you clearly have problems admitting the truth. My 360 version of BC2 is quite simply not much better than FPS’s I played in the 90′s at the end of the day.
