Bizarre can add DLC "on the fly" to Blur

Bizarre Creations' Gareth Wilson has said that the DLC plans it has for Blur will be implemented "on the fly" thanks to the content server it has in place.

Speaking in an interview with freelancer Adam Hartley, Wilson said that players won't have to download any packs over XBL or PSN to get the content.

"We’ll definitely be releasing some DLC stuff," he said. "One of the cool techie things that we have in this game is that we have a content server that you connect to when you boot up the game. So we can change playlists and game modes and add and remove stuff without actually doing an official DLC type downloadable pack over PSN or Xbox Live.

"So we can give the community what it wants – adding things to the game on the fly at any time we want. And we can rebalance the game at any time. So we almost have this World of Warcraft-style ability to tune the game once it’s been launched.

"There is also a whole custom race section of the game where we give the players all of the controls that we have to the player".

Blur is out at the end of May for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and the Beta is set to end via XBL on Monday.
