SanDisk shipping USB Flash Drives for Xbox 360

SanDisk’s shipping its pre-configured USB Drives for Xbox 360.
The new drive allows you to save your gamertags, progress, map packs, Arcade titles, and DLC and take ‘em with you wherever you go, obviously.
It also eliminates “the need to format storage or download an initial software update for an Xbox 360 console”, reads the press release, and it also comes with a one-month Xbox LIVE Gold membership.
The Xbox 360 USB Flash Drive is available in 8 and 16GB and will run you $34.99 and $69.99, respectively.
Microsoft announced that the drives were coming back in March, and released an update on 360 for it April 6.

Way over priced! a Standard USB with 16 gigs cost 33 USD on New EGG! So you pay twice the price because of Xbox LOGO!
why people still buy and support overpriced Xbox360 and its accessories?
Call me a fanboy or not, but I rather spend 33 USD on 16 gig USB drive for my UNIVERSAL ps3!

So i don’t have to swap HDD’s anymore? Still got no Transfercable and an ol 20 next to my 250.
And Nox: I call you a fanboy.
Btw: A 16g SanDisk Extreme III CF-Card cost 89Euros … but you’re right, the HDDs are far overpriced.

You don’t actually have to use a USB stick that’s preconfigured. It’ll accept any old stick, it’ll just format it.

It’s like they’re adding $10 for the 360 logo.

Utterly stupid. I bet they’re banking on people who don’t realise that they can use any USB stick and think this is just some kind of bigger memory unit.

Another great idea by Microsoft. The average 360 owner wont know any better sadly.
