Development on the PSN version of Final Fantasy IX is now complete, Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto has announced via Twitter.

The news means Japan shouldn't have long to wait for the game. There's been no confirmation of a Euro release as yet.

The PSN version still to go through Sony’s testing phase, although Hashimoto did promise he'll update fans on progress once Golden Week - a Japanese public holiday - is over.

Final Fantasy IX was originally released by Square in 2000 on PlayStation.
