Starcraft II single-player blown to pieces – impressions round-up

Not much has been heard of Starcraft II’s single-player since last summer, when Pat went to Irvine, California to see it for himself. You can see how he got on back then here.
But Blizzard’s lifted the embargo for a recent dose of single-player goodness, with impressions so far indicating there’s been a bit of a change since last summer. Get everything rounded up after the break from the RTS’s first expansion Wings of Liberty.

MS Q1 2010 financials: Xbox 360 business generates $165M

Microsoft has released its Q1 financials for 2010, ending March 31 and posted a profit of $165M thanks to increased revenue from Xbox Live and the Entertainment Division, despite a 12 percent decrease in sales of Xbox 360.

Eight ex-Infinity Ward staff join Respawn Entertainment [Update]

Update 2: Apparently, the number has risen to eight, according to G4. Lead software engineer, Francesco Gigliotti, updated his Linkedin profile overnight to reflect his new position with Respawn. The title of this post has been changed to reflect the update.
Update 1: The number is now at seven. Programmer Jon Shirling and lead designer Mackey McCandlish have now joined up.
