New titles for 360 Game Room delayed “until further notice”

Xbox Live European Editor Dan Maher has revealed the next batch of titles for Game Room on 360 has been delayed “until further notice”.
Tweeting the news, Maher only said:
“The latest batch of Game Room content has also been delayed until further notice – I’ll let you know once a new date is confirmed.”
Major Nelson has said that for the US lot, they should “stay tuned”.
“We’re working to bring you additional Game Room titles as soon as possible,” he told Kotaku. “We appreciate your patience, and we’ve been thrilled by the community response so far. We want to provide you with the best experience possible, so stay tuned!”
The service launched last month to only a couple of titles on Xbox Live Arcade.

I deleted game room off my hard drive last night
(this could possible be the most interesting thing anyone has to say about Game Room)

Game Room is a 940 gamerscore drain waste of time.

50 people were laid off at the studio that develops it last week, that could’ve had something to do with it.
Or it might just be that most of the games they’ve released so far have been shit and overpriced and nobody’s buying them.

they’re way overpriced, but the first pack did have a couple of good ones, like Konami arcade games.
I’d say likely the Krome layoffs happened because of the title not doing that good. it’s a shame really, the Game Room concept itself is very cool.

The people gasping at the pricing structure when it was first announced should have been a pretty good indication that it was bonkers. 40 points a pop and I’d have a games room with some cabinets in, at current pricing it’ll stay as empty as Greece’s treasury.

Oof, that’s not a good sign. The initial promise of tens of game s a week did sound a bit bold though

This is what happens when you have a virtual arcade without any arcade games people want to play.
