Report - More people buy a used instead of new PS3

ps362

According to a study conducted by PS3PriceCompare, more folks in the market for PS3 purchase the console used instead of new.

It should be noted that the site that did the research
sells the console
.

At any rate, the site surveyed 1017 PS3 owners and found that 33 percent purchased a used one, with 24 percent paying full sticker price.

14 percent were given one as a gift, which means for free (hopefully), 3 percent won theirs, and 26 percent received a PS3 by signing up for a mobile contract with the console as an incentive.

On the software end of it, 78 percent had bought a second-hand game for the console.

Thanks, Eurogamer.
