PartnerNet snap hints at Shenmue II download

shenmue

Shenmue 3! Not really. Project Berkeley II! Possibly.

Another image from “XboxLeaker” today has dropped a potential fan-heavy bombshell, showing a listing for “Project Berkeley II”.

The shot apparently comes from PartnerNet, and obviously suggests that Shenmue II may be heading Xboxward as a download.

This is the same source that seemingly outed a downloadable version of Jet Set Radio yesterday.

Project Berkeley was an original codename for Yu Suzuki’s giant, Dreamcast-based ego-wank.

There’s more on EG.

Never got round to Shenmue 2, so I’d lap this up in an instant.

I saw a leaked Shenmue picture yesterday which looked mega fake.

This probably holds a little more weight…a little

I don’t think i’d want to play through it again, although Ren was a fucking bad ass

Based off what’s been seen of the Sonic Adventure port, even if this game does exist it’ll be a shoddy, no-frills conversion.

I’d happily buy it — and a plethora of other Dreamcast games — if Sega are willing to put a bit of effort in, mind.

@3 its all no-frills which completely sucks, as if they showed jet set radio some love it would be out of this world

Shenmue 2 was already on Xbox, you’ve have thought that they’d have put it for download along with the other ‘classic’ games.

My goodness, this is one of my favourite games ever. Jet Set Radio too…although I have them on the DC still I think I might well get suckered into these again!

i played phantasy star on my dreamcast for over 200 hours, i know thats not much in this age of WoW but it was a fucking lot for me back then

I had a character with over 100 hours of play and i saved over him by accident when i created a character so me and a friend could go online and abuse people, as it turned out the joke was on me. i was almost brought to tears

Phantasy stars already on the Xbox anyways you have to pay monthly to play it

Heh, i played PSO for over 5 years through all the different versions. Doubt Sega would put it back up though, they’d have to charge for the servers.

@9 I was the same, I’d probably 500 hours over the three iterations (v1, v2, Ep I & II).

I’d a similar experience – had a level 100 HUnewearl on v1 with ~180 hours on her, pulled out the VMU without thinking while it was saving… Luckily I’d an Xploder cheat disc, was able to hack and modify and get a (close enough) version back. Phew!

Same thing happened with my first character – think he was a level 34 RAcast when I did the same thing.

Not Phantasy Star Universe – I want Phantasy Star Online! (V2 or Ep I & II, I wouldn’t be too bothered) No monthly fees! Keyboard support! Voice chat disabled! UNREEEEEAL!!

hmmm, how would i go about getting a PartnerNet account? :)

i’ve just done some reading up on it, interesting, does it mean you can get a hold of the stuff that’s being tested?
