Capcom trademarks Mega Man Universe

Capcom has applied for a US trademark for Mega Man Universe.

Most USTO applications from publishers cover all types of games along with mobile apps and devices along with toys, so it could be anything really, despite how MMO-ish it all sounds.

However, you might want to call your bookie and bet a couple bucks on it being a DS title, because 3DS is rumored for release in October, and you know how Mega Man just loves being on DS.

Of course, if you prefer a trifecta, place a secondary bet on a digital release for XBL, PSN and WiiWare just to make sure.

We’ll see if we can make any headway on this with Capcom, but seeing as it was just trademarked on April 21, it’s doubtful the fine folks there are ready to spill the beans.
