Kojima working on second “confidential project”

Looks like you may be getting more new project loving from Hideo Kojima.
The Metal Gear Solid creator and Kojima Productions boss said that he is currently at work on a “confidential project”.
He tweeted: “I’m going to leave my next project to the side while I focus on the “Confidential Project.”
While it’s clearly unknown what this new project will be, one project he mentioned last week could be tossed to the side for it which was hinted at last week: Zone of the Enders 3.
Best not screw up, then, Kojima. We don’t want you leaving in a hurry.
Kojima’s putting on the final touches to Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP for a release next week in Japan, while Metal Gear Solid: Rising is also in the works for PS3, 360 and PC.

@1 MGS4 Iphone wasn’t full-fledged. Just a cut-out shooter, from what I understand.

yes it was balls, but you can’t deny it had more substance to it then ragdoll blaster or angry bird launcher or parking your car simulator
although the parking car simulator did have a really good narrative

@4 Anyone who has played ZoE2 wants it to be ZoE3. That narrative and dialog was corny, but that gameplay, man, that gameplay was spectacular. Like sex, on a tricycle. Or something.
If you haven’t experienced the series, DO NOT start with the original. Its so boring. 2 though, mmm, ZoE2.
I’m swooning. -_~

Jesus wants this to be Zone of the Enders 3, Koj.
If not, it’s hunting season.

I’m more interested in platforms we will see ZOE3. Probably multipaltform because this time Kojima wants to create its own story, own characters and e.t.c. He want to direct it, writing and e.t.c. stuff.

I’m not being funny, but would a third ZOE actually sell? I can’t believe they’re ever going to make it.

@14, You are absolutely right. It won’t sell.
BUT, this time if Kojima will take a project and Konami will make a decent PR marketing campaign, then it have a chance for 2-3 million copies sold.
It’s Kojima. People know him.

If this gen has shown us anything, its that marketing and graphics will sell (almost) anything. Absolutely dead franchises have been revived through it (KZ, PD off my head). That, and a games previous performance has little bearing on how well its sequel does (HR kind of, UC2 for improvement, Bio 2 for the opposite). Its only when you decide to screw your consumer over and keep them unaware do you meet with lackluster results (Y3). WoM, used PS2 games and sheer desire should let it do at least 1M, easy.
