Fourth generation iPhone prototype leaked

Do you hear that? It’s Steve Jobs screaming.
Gizmodo has shots and specs of what’s apparently iPhone’s fourth generation.
The handset’s next iteration has a new design and a front-facing camera.
The screen also seems to have a higher resolution then the current model, iPhone 3GS. It has a 16 percent increase in battery life.
The site didn’t, however, have the phone up and running, as it’s claimed Apple remotely killed the ability to use it when it was found in a bar in Redwood City, California.
One analyst has said the company had recently lost a prototype iPhone recently: this is most likely it.
A more formal announcement of iPhone 4 would most likely come during the company’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference some time in June.

Viral marketing, someone at Apple just happens to leave behind an iPhone prototype at bar which makes its way to one of the most blatant Apple fan sites (Gizmodo) & Apple haven’t even unleashed the lawyers, sure….

IPhone is overrated. Yes, it’s a nice mobile phone. But for that price, absolutely nothing special.
It’s like throwing money away. Mobile phone is for SMS and calls, well maybe to listen some music, but to watch videos or play games on it is just ridiculous.
This prototype looks great IMHO.

@6 PSP is still alive pretty well, as long as there are titles like MGS: Peace Walker.

it’s dying in the west, it’s a niche gaming device appealing to those who consider MGS games good.

@6 You must not be putting much effort in reading consoles’ sales data, are you?
Btw, sold mine long ago, I am so not into mobile gaming… I am totally for immersive experiences.
… but that MGSPW kind of gives me thrills… no PSN version on the horizon?

@12 Yes, we will see, because it is rumored that Sony is planing new Sony Ericsson mobile phone with PSP. Thats going to be something.
But i still would bought original PSP.
Software is not selling because of piracy and hardware sells very well. It sold much more units then Iphone.

wow, SDF at it’s finest.. I’m starting to see a nice pattern in your comments. we were talking about PSP, not the rumored SE phone no?
iPhone, iPad, Android, the upcoming Zune marketplace + DS that sold twice as much as psp. looks nice really.
and lol @ the last sentence. iPhone sold 50 million in two years, psp did the same in 5, most of which came from Japan.

I’m talking about Mobile phone PSP because it will use the same PSP stuff.
New Iphone will use the same tech it used before but a little bit better. Better design and thats it.
If we are going to talk about gaming. As a gaming device PSP is much better then Iphone. It’s just have great games compared to Iphone. + soon we will see Peace Walker that will be absolutely phenomenon game with new Resident evil and e.t.c. + E3 is coming out soon.
Iphone sold 50 million units since 2007. It’s threee years and no matter how many years, PSP sold more and they did only slightly better incarnations. PSP sold 57 units.
Most of Japan? You don’t know shit.
Japan: 14.45 million units
Europe and e.t.c.: 23.83 million units
USA: 13.66 million units
and content cost much more on the PSP then IPhone APPS, so no matter what Iphone sales started to go up, PSP is still profitable.
It’s their first handheld gaming device and i don’t want to talk about you with the Handheld device sales overall, because history shows how Sony can sell their walkmen that they created and e.t.c.
Sony is doing just fine with it’s new product and history shows that PSP is the first handheld gaming device that don’t suck. It’s selling really well.

I don’t see how the iPhone is overrated. It is the best smart phone out there, fact. All phone reviewers agree and almost everyone that has ever had an iPhone will also agree.

the rumored psp phone will (probably!) be almost identical to his smartphone analogs. the conversation was about today’s Sony’s portable gaming console.
it doesn’t matter what you think about psp vs iphone games, quite a few people would disagree. what you see as great games others see as boring, clumsy crap . we were talking about hardware sales.
it did 17 million in NA. Japan is where it sells the most if you look at the latest charts, and it did several times as much there as in any other country, that’s what I was talking about.
wow, twisting facts and playing with words.. iPhone became available in summer 2007 in US, only in spring 2008 did it came to most of the EU countries (UK got it in late 2007). two years.
psp launched in December 2004 in Jp, spring 2005 in NA, and September 2005 in EU.
and thanks for enlightening me about the price of iPhone apps, whatever does it have to do with this?
wow, new product. it’s been five years and DS completely and utterly destroyed it, while the smartphone gaming is on the rise as well (previously, it never took off as good). very nice indeed.

On topic considering the competition the Psp had id say it has done pretty well also Nintendo have had the handheld market in a stranglehold since gaming began.

@15 it is not the best Smartphone. Please. Compared to new Nokia and LG devices it’s an overrated piece of shit with absolutely great APP STORE function. App store is what making it really awesome in what other companies failed.
When it was first released in 2007 the best feature in it was a touch screen, now it’s 2010.
@16 People who will disagree with me are Apple fanboys or blond girls who don’t know where to throw their money. PSP have great games and thats a fact if you want compare REALLY Clumsy shit on the Iphone with bad graphics. Most of games don’t work with Touch screen and in my opinion games on PSP are much better then the DS games (They just fucking simple and for kids.), except of few my favourite masterpieces like The World Ends with You.
In Japan it have high sales because almost everyone have a DS now there or whatsoever. Previously charts DS was better always.
Nintendo know how to sell it’s device on the market and it’s actually didn’t destroyed anything. Sony did really good job for the first not sucking device that sold for 60 million units. Thats just a start and they are in the right direction. So PSP 2 or next Handheld device will be successfull. PSP is a very successfull device.

For the record, I use a Blackberry. iPhone’s feature-set is great if you want to play games and not type emails on a hard keyboard. Also, tethering with a Blackberry is really easy and works really well. Handy.

I’m really looking forward to upgrading my 3G to this, the iPhone is still the best smartphone out there. I’ve had various Windows Mobile devices over the years and they were flakey and slow. I’ve tried the Nexus One and it’s OK but nothing great. The iPhone isn’t perfect for some types of game, but in a pinch there’s a lot of great games on it.
For the record I think the iPad is overpriced rubbish and Apple desktops are an utter waste of time for a gamer.

hahaha, the irony. okay, I stopped reading further. this sentence sums it up really, no need to continue duscussing anything with someone that open minded, knowledgeable and clever. it’s getting embarassing now.
good day to you, young man.
