Splinter Cell on PS3: “We’ll have to see”

Ubisoft’s Maxime Béland has told VG247 that as far as Splinter Cell on PlayStation 3 goes in the future, the company is taking a ‘wait and see’ approach.
In an exclusive interview published this morning, however, the creative director of Conviction said Microsoft “has been wonderful” in supporting the title for Xbox 360, which is exclusive to the platform on consoles.
“We’ll have to see what decisions are made by Ubisoft’s management in the future,” he said. “The decision for Conviction was purely a business move. Microsoft have been wonderful in their support for Conviction.”
He added: “It’s been an absolute pleasure working with them on Splinter Cell Conviction.”
Officially, Ubisoft’s said time after time that Splinter Cell: Conviction would be a 360-exclusive, despite numerous claims on the contrary.
Unofficially, however, two CVs had been spotted recently, noting that a PS3 version of the title in the works.
The most recent PlayStation titles in the series were Double Agent for PS2 and PS3 in 2006 and 2007 respectively, with Ubisoft Montreal handling the PS2 version and Ubisoft Shanghai developing for PS3.

Sure it coming
The fact there’s a deal with Microsoft makes it more obvious it will come probably a year after
Did people actually believe Ubisoft when they said it “exclusive” because it a “Xbox franchise at soul” or some other bullshit? lol

@Caleb_LK
Any real gamer knows Metal Gear was never only on Playstation but on the other hand MGS4 wasn’t on Xbox 360 after all, was it?
I think Kojima made it pretty clear in his eyes Metal Gear Solid: Rising is a spin off and hes not involved with the project
For any real Metal Gear Solid fan, Peace Walker is the true next game in the series

Yes, Rising is more of a compromise, and perhaps a toe dip in the Xbox 360 water.
Peace Walker is where its at.

The fact that Kojima is talking about already working on a brand new project now that he’s finished Peace Walker is quite telling. But anyway, this isnt about MGS.

It would appear ‘wait and see’ is the code-word for timed exclusive this gen.

Seriously, the cat’s out of the bag. Two CVs have already revealed the title for PS3 so the charade just makes them look pathetic.
