New DS hardware and old (but upgraded to the point where they’re basically new) Pokemon games? In the same month?

Come on, Nintendo. It’s already impossible enough to outsell the DS, but that’s just downright mean.

As a result of the aforementioned portable perfect storm, Nintendo managed to break the all-time record for portable sales in the month of March.

“Demand for Nintendo fun continues unabated,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “We’re glad so many people are able to get their hands on our systems as we prepare for the May launches of Super Mario Galaxy™ 2 for Wii and Picross 3D™ for our Nintendo DS systems.”

Picross 3D? Shit. Good luck next month, everyone. You’re clearly going to need it.

Thanks, Nintendo Everything.

Funny how a handheld has more Hardcore games over the Wii. hmmm makes you think on why you bought a wii in the first place.

I would get a DS if they stopped coming out with new versions.
