Original Xbox Live is still up and kicking

Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you the sad news that the original Xbox Live is now… still alive?

We shit you not: this Giant Bomb live-stream of Halo 2 proves it. Watch it below.

As previously noted, the service for Xbox 1 is due to shut down today after serving its last full day yesterday. But as of right now, Halo nation is on playing Bungie’s second blockbuster on the edge of their seats, waiting for the end.

Microsoft announced the closure of the service back in January. The firm insists it can add more features in Xbox Live for 360 thanks to the closure, including a rise in your friends list.

I know watching this even more so makes me wish this mode was in Conviction! I used to love this in Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory, genuinely scary multiplayer when suddenly a merc appears in your face!

They can put a man on the moon yet MS can’t improve XBL without killing multiplayer of old Xbox gamPs

Spies vs Mercs in Double Agent was the only time I was able to play it. :(

I really hope they’d include that in as DLC.

Yeah they really ruined with Double Agent IMO, they should have just taken what they had with Chaos Theory and done it up for this gen but instead they changed alot of it and i personally just didn’t enjoy it. Nothing beats playing CT at 2am as a spie and then all of a sudden you hear the noise of a merc firing a grenade and the shit that materalizes in your pants due to it
