Only 20k between Microsoft and Sony now i see, Sony could look at that as a bad thing or a good thing i suppose.

Considering Sony’s system-movers of GOW III and FFXIII both dropped in March, that’s a huge issue for Sony America. I truly expected PS3 hardware sales to topple the 360 by 150% – 200% (similar to FFXIII software ratio). I guess that means both installed bases have reached a similar point in the saturation curve.

Didn’t Sony stop shipping PS3s yet? Something about a shortage?

Great showing by Sony. I think this is one of the few months they’ve been the software leader with 2 exclusives in the top ten and excellent numbers for Final Fantasy XIII and Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the platform. On the hardware side of things, given the margin of error of NPD’s calculations, it’s about even.

Indeed, considering the layout of the software top ten this month it’s sort of surprising to see the PS3 still not managing to outsell the 360. Surely they must’ve sorted those supply problems by now?

I doubt that npd’s “margin of error” is anywhere near 25000 units. Sounds like wishful thinking from a sony fan to me
