"Several" Kingdom Hearts titles being planned, says Nomura

Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura has let slip that "several" titles in the Disney/Square hybrid are being planned.

"I can’t really give many details, but we do have several titles being planned and some in preparation for development, so I hope you’ll look forward to those in the future," he said in a Q&A on the Japanese Square Enix Members site.

Already, Nomura's said he's looking to release at least one new Kingdom Hearts title this year in Japan. That title, however, won't be Kingdom Hearts III: he's already said it won't be the next title in the series. And even then, if KH III were to happen, it would depend on what happens with Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which Nomura is currently directing.

The latest Kingdom Hearts, Birth By Sleep, released near the start of the year in Japan for PSP, and will now release in summer in the west.
