Yerli: Crysis 2 on consoles "not about sales"

Crysis 2

Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli has told VG247's Patrick Garratt that Crysis 2 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are "not about sales".

In an exclusive interview at the game's formal unveiling earlier this week in New York, where the game is based, Yerli said to us: Can we be the top game or not? On PC the platform is more forgiving sometimes. For me it was a challenge. But it’s not about sales. It’s never, ever about sales. Sales is EA’s job."

When the previous Crysis launched in 2007, it was released only on PC, and since then never shown up on PS3 and 360 down the line, as some might have previously thought.

Crysis 2 is due out this Holiday season for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
