Super Mario Galaxy 2 dated for May 27 in Japan

Nintendo has announced it'll release Super Mario Galaxy 2 in Japan on May 27.

It comes weeks after the sequel, the first time a 3D Mario game has appeared twice on a home Nintendo platform, was given dates for the US and Europe.

In America, NoA announced in San Francisco at a media summit a while back it would release on May 23, giving it an earlier release date then the Japanese.

As for the UK and Europe, Nintendo's European arm gave a June 11 release date for the regions.

The firm released a new trailer of SMG2 last week. Go give it a watch.
