Halo movie to be made "when the time is right," says 343

343 Industries' Frank O'Connor has revealed that a Halo movie will eventually be made, but only when "the time is right".

Speaking during the MI6 conference in San Francisco last week, O'Connor revealed that it makes sense to do one, at least financially.

"We're going to make a movie when the time is right," he said. "We own the IP. If we want to make a movie, the scale of all the other stuff that we do changes dramatically.

"We make tens and tens of millions of dollars on ancillary stuff, toys, apparel, music and publishing. If we do a movie all of that will grow exponentially. We have some numbers if we do a movie, but it changes everything.

"It also changes our target and age demographic."

The movie was officially put on hold last year in order to focus on Reach and ODST.

However, thanks to Halo: Reach, it will only be a matter of time before one is made, said Bungie.

Wonder if they could get Spielberg and Jackson back on the project, then.
