Wada: Microsoft “asked us” to do FFXIII for 360

Square Enix president Yoichi Wada has revealed that Final Fantasy XIII went to Xbox 360 because Microsoft “asked us” to develop a title in the series for the console.

“Mature” True Crime has no DLC planned, says producer

True Crime producer Jeff O’ Connell told VG247 at GDC last night that the team’s too concerned with finishing the product to consider DLC at the moment, but when you’ve got a game inspired by films such as The Departed and Eastern Promises, and a protagonist called Wei Shen, maybe you shouldn’t be so worried.

True Crime reputation system gives you a little “face” time

When True Crime is released later this fall it’ll stick firmly to the real world – just action, kung-fu, cars and awesome. Will Wright: The Wii is great and all, but it belongs in the “toy market”

Will Wright knows casual gaming. After all, we’re talking about the brain behind The Sims here. He was – in a sense – casual before casual was cool.
So when Nintendo cast its net wide and started reeling in mothers, grandparents, and the occasional fitness buff, you can bet that Wright took notice. But even after selling millions upon millions, Wright’s still not sold on Nintendo’s little white videogame console. At least, insofar as the “videogame console” part goes.
