New Lara Croft is “not a Tomb Raider game”, says producer

During GDC, Crystal Dynamics’ brand director Karl Stewart and producer Forest Large showed us a bit of Lara Croft, which does not take place in any time line contained within the Tomb Raider series.

In fact, it doesn’t even contain that moniker, because according to Stewart, the developers wanted to give Lara a new coat of paint and freshen her up a bit.

Sony and Jaffe prevail in God of War lawsuit

Back in 2008, a couple filed suit against Sony and David Jaffe, claiming that God of War was a blatant rip-off of their screenplay – which saw Athens attacked by Spartans and the gods of Mount Olympus trying to restore peace.

Well, a California federal judge has decided that there was no copyright infringement involved in the God of War games and dismisses the suit.
